Biography of Carlos H. Galaniuk

Carlos H. Galaniuk is a business lawyer concentrating his practice on transactions and commercial affairs. He is one of the few truly hybrid and seasoned professionals with the skill of a corporate lawyer and the commercial skills of an investment banker. Carlos brings to GL fifteen years of legal and financial experience at law firms, banking institutions and an industrial manufacturing company. Born in Michigan in 1967, Carlos moved to Florida when he was four.

Previous professional experience
Carlos has practiced law in leading Florida firms and the Frankfurt office of Clifford Chance, one of the largest commercial practices in the world. Carlos has significant experience in corporate finance, banking, capital markets and corporate transactions, especially those related to M&A. As a leveraged finance director for Dresdner Kleinwort (Frankfurt) and WestLB (Düsseldorf) he provided credit facilities to private equity firms in Germany, the US, UK and continental Europe. He served as Director of Corporate Development of INA Schaeffler (Nürnberg), a multinational manufacturer, where he also led their in-house market strategy and M&A activities.
